Questions for Believers

by Marc S. Handelsman

Challenge yourself with these questions and see if you are living a life of faith -- or compromise.

  • How much compromise is too much for those who are genuine believers in Yeshua?
  • Have your political views changed to represent a life transformed by Yeshua (Jesus)?
  • Is the Bible irrelevant to your life?
  • Are you sensitive to what the L-rd calls sin and abominations?
  • Do you cling to old "hang-ups" that defined your life prior to believing in Yeshua?
  • What has changed about you?
  • Can you see the difference between what the Holy Scriptures say about good and evil?
  • Are you living two lives - one as a believer in Yeshua (Jesus) and the other as a worldly person who compromises too much?
  • Do you follow the conventional wisdom of the world, so that you can fit in?
  • Has your faith in Yeshua become lukewarm?
  • Do your family, friends, and co-workers see a supernatural change in your life?
  • How does your faith impact your daily life?
  • Are you holding on to worldly views that go against Jesus and the Holy Bible?
  • Do you embrace ideas that contradict Scripture?
  • Have you compromised so much that no one can tell that you are a believer?
  • Do you have a "wall of separation" between your faith and applying it to life?
  • Are you living by worldly or biblical standards of conduct?

If there are things in your life that aren't "kosher," it's time to seriously evaluate your relationship with Yeshua (Jesus). If you have accepted Yeshua as L-rd and Savior, you need to confess, repent, and forsake your sins. Then replace your worldly views with biblical ones. Remember that G-d is merciful to those who truly believe in Him. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (I John 1:9, NIV) For those who have not placed their faith in Jesus, there is hope, Amen! "For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile - the same L-rd is L-rd of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for "Everyone who calls on the name of the L-rd will be saved." (Romans 10:13, NIV)
